Purl Headband- Simplified Tunisian Crochet Pattern

This pattern is suitable for both beginners and experienced crocheters. If you’re comfortable with regular crochet but have never tried Tunisian crochet before, you can absolutely give this design a try!

You’ll find clear written instructions along with a detailed, step-by-step video tutorial to guide you through the process and make it easy to follow.

Skill Level: Easy
(Basic knowledge of regular crochet techniques required)

MATERIALS:
– A 6 mm Tunisian crochet hook (If you don’t have one, you may be able to use a regular crochet hook, as long as it’s at least 7 inches long and doesn’t have a silicone handle or anything bulky that would prevent the stitches from sliding)
– A tapestry needle
– A tape measure
– Scissors
– Stitch markers if needed

For the lillac sample I used a yarn with a soft halo that’s labeled as Bulky weight, although I personally find it slightly thinner (somewhere between Worsted and Bulky). The yarn is Halaus Creative Collection by Novita (which was kindly gifted): it’s a blend of cotton, alpaca, and wool. I've used 1 ball (50 g/100m/109yds).

For the video tutorial, I’ve used two DK yarns held together: Hobbii Woody Tweed and Hoooked Somen. I've used around half a ball each.

I like to use a yarn substitution website to recommend similar options, but since Halaus by Novita isn’t in their database, I chose the closest alternative I could think of, which is Portobello by Hobbii.
