Unusual Crochet Granny Square Tote Bag - Simplified Crochet Pattern

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
(Knowledge of basic stitches and simple techniques)

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

• Worsted yarn in 4 different shades: I’ve used HOBBII FRIENDS COTTON 8/8
  For the main Colour (MC – colorway 05 Beige): less than 4 full balls. I used it for the straps and to add 2 rows in each granny square. That’s about 175 g / 262 m / 286 yd.
  Contrast Colours (C1 colorway 27 (Gold Dust), C2 colorway 16 (Whiskey), C3 colorway 13 (Warm Shades)): a little less than 2 balls each. That’s about 90 g / 135 m / 147 yd.
  Each ball is 50 g / 1.76 oz / 75 m / 82 yd.
  If you purchase the same yarn, I recommend buying 4 balls of MC and 2 balls for each of the 3 contrasting colours.

• 4.5 mm crochet hook or corresponding hook to meet gauge
